Scarrrryy Cats

Hello there! In this exercise given by Mr Razi before our holiday break, he asked us to draw out the scary parts of a cat....I was thinking, how can a cute, cuddly, friendly (and so on) animal like a cat is scary?!...hmmmm...this time I will really get into trouble but I still managed to come out with some sketches that shows scary parts of a cat...

Other than the hairless skinny cats (I really don't like this cat XD), I don't really think cats are scary =p

Poem

In this exercise, Mr Razi asked us to write a 'Love' poem based on what he shows on the slides...It really gave me a big headache because I'm not much of a poetic person hehehe...But finally I managed to get it done with a lot of whines =p the picture below shows what I wrote for this exercise....

Third Task

In our third exercise, we were given an exercise regarding juxtaposition which is an act or instance of placing close together or side by side, especially for comparison or contrast.....In my point of view, this means to create randomness, combine anything to create something new ^^

In this exercise, Mr Razi asked all of us to write down the list given like the picture above and write down three different numbers range from 0 until 99....I chose 13, 69 and 77...After that, we have to match the numbers we chose with the list above and I got Flower & Wind (13), Duck & Rain (69) and Dog & Tree (77)....

Next, we have to create a sentence out of the words we got like the picture above and draw it out according to the sentences we created... 

After that, we were told to combine the words together and draw what we got like the picture above...It was fun though because everyone created something that is beyond impossible haha XD

As for our second exercise, Mr  Razi taught us about how mergers gone wrong....We were told to draw out two different kind of animal and make sure it cannot live...My idea was to combine an eagle with a fish...This creature will not able to live either on air, land or water because the eagle head wouldn't be able to breathe under water and the body of fish can't live on land or air (it would get dry)...The picture below shows my new 'creation' hehe ^^

Second Task

As for our second task, Mr Razi asked us to come out with ideas what we can do with mortar & pestle (batu lesung). Here are the three ideas I came up with it based on the categories given by him :

First is for HAIR

For my first idea, this picture shows the usage of mortar & pestle for my hair idea...the mortar is for the hair treatment (steam) and the pestle is for curling the hair or straightening the hair...

Second is for MEDICAL

For my second idea, the mortar & pestle is used for medical...it is for treating illness...the shaman (bomoh) will use the pestle to knock the mortar few times while recites mantra to cure his/her patient....

Lastly is for EXERCISE

As for my last idea, both of them are used in exercises (weight-lifting)....the pestle is for the arm bar while the mortar is for the weight n it got many sizes depending on the weights XD...

Other than that, we were given the task to write down a mind map of what we think of the friend sitting next to us...Below is a picture of what my friend (Amir) think of me =p

First Task

Last week was my first class of Creative Studies and my first impression of Mr Razi Bedu (our lecturer) was is he CRAZY?(sorry Mr. Razi hehe XD)....but what he said actually make sense...in the class, he was explaining on being creativity and so on, i was lost at first @_@ none of what he said entered this thick skull of mine hahah! but after reading back his notes, rethink of what he said in class, everything actually make sense....he was telling us to think outside the box, be extraordinary!! for example, what does an elephant and a pole have in common?? there's a gazillion answers to that question but I'm pretty sure no one thought of this answer; both of them are not your friend!! hahaha..


Other than that, we were given a task on looking for the definition of Creativity, Novelty, Innovation and Invention..

Creativity

From my point of view, creativity means to produce something from ideas we have and make it a reality...able to view things in new ways or from a different perspective...among other things, you need to be able to generate new possibilities or new alternatives....

here is an example of creativity..if it's not project, then it's just being imaginative..

Novelty

Novelty is the quality of being new, to create something no one has ever done or heard before...

Innovation

Innovation means to renew something that is already existed but not an introduction to something new...

Invention

Invention  is a new composition, device, or process...an invention may be derived from a pre-existing model or idea, or it could be independently conceived in which case it may be a radical breakthrough...

Bill Gates

Bill Gates is the founder of Microsoft....To me, he's a genius because he created the Windows software that we are currently using now...His creation is a novelty because no one in this world has ever created it...He also re-invented the desktop from the huge computers so that it can be use by others...

Sergey M. Brin & Lawrence E. Page

Sergey M. Brin and Lawrence E. Page are the founders of Google Inc...These two have the similarity of being a computer scientist and industrialist...They invented the world largest internet company, based on it's search engine and online advertising technology....Their creativity was proven when they combined ideas and invented the most widely used and efficient search engine that we're using now, Google....

Introduction

Heyy people!! My name is Mohd Azlan B. Mohd Rosli but you can call me Azlan or just Lan =)
Well this is my second blog...This blog's purpose is for my Creative Studies (MLC 0113) subject...
In this blog, I have to explain what I've learnt or understand in the class...
Still trying to figure out what I've learnt last week in the class, I'll write soon ^_^
